Chubacca gets fooled by the old 'He's Behind You' line.

Gazelles do their best to blend in with the bushes -
not very convincing, are they?

It might be dry, arid and boiling hot, but this family of zebra don't seem to care.

Miles and miles of perfectly flat terrain,
apart from the termites.

This tame young lad is Chubacca the Cheetah.

It's amazing the variety of animals that live
in the National Wildlife Park boundaries.
Just north west of South Africa lies Namibia - a typical country within the continent where the majority of land is desert, or mountains. Our Andy went to a town next to Namibia's national wildlife park, Okaukuejo (Pron: Ok-a-Chook-Wa) back in April 2000; he stayed there for three months. He joined dozens of others who were volunteering with the Raleigh International charity... the aim was to complete Phase 2 in a project to build a school for the town's children. During his time there, Andy also did some sightseeing, played football, nursed a cheetah, got his arse out and got drunk. Surprisingly.

Answers on a postcard.

Giraffes, cheetahs, elephants...

Does it matter?

It might look like a tree but Andy's
found a termite city.

Temperatures plummet as soon
as the sun disappears.

During the rain season, you can

The real reason why Andy wanted to go abroad.

near as good as the ones 'round here.

MThreeW abroad?!?

Andy and the fellas dance around in flannels. Yuk!

Blindfolds, drink, food...
the only thing missing is JT.

As it says on the wall: say Please and Thank You
Grrrr.

This is the point where Andy goes a bit mental.

The school bus left a lot to be desired.

Tops up for another photo opportunity.

Andy tries to explain to locals
the 'Fred Durst Phenomenon'.

It's either a Hawaiian night,
or the grass is attacking them.

It all looks a bit camp to me!

The first attempt at building a
school didn't quite go to plan.

Andy picks up a couple of ladies.

Can he fix it?

# Young Man, There's no need to be down
# I say, Young Man...

Taken just after Andy went through the roof.

After three months the Raleigh team completed Phase Two.

The lads mime where the urinals are going to be.

Several cheetahs are kept under supervision at the area's Animal Centre.
